Thanks for advice......to no avail. ...same problem again this afternoon. I also noticed when I finally got in, my internet was no longer connected and had to troubleshoot it.in fact, that's happened a few times before too. Thinking about it, I have applied ed a few updates and downloaded some stuff, do you think I've got a bug of some sort?

Frequently recently when I boot my laptop, my sign in page just doesn't appear..and I just get the wallpaper with nowhere to sign in! Then I have to switch off and retry. Repeating this can take a number of hours, then the signing page suddenly appears. (So far)...........I also found my mail disappeared for half an hour then came back. Any idea what's going on and how can I remedy? Thanks for any help Brian
