I tried left clicking and dragging to desktop ;) Basically, when it tries to read a large file (several hundred MBs or more) on a disk, my computer just reboots.

I'm not an expect, so expect any advice to come shorthanded. Isn't it possible to reinstall windows without formatting your drive? You wouldn't be able to run any installed programs, but non installed programs, which I would assume would make up a large part of your work, would remain unaffected. Just pissing in the wind here.

Hello. Well, my issue is that whenever my computer trys to read large files on what discs I have, dvd or cd, it will often times kill the computer and automatically reboot me. For example, I would open a CD with Windows Explorer. Select file on CD (400mb). Copy, paste to desktop. Boom, crash, reboot. I don't know what is wrong or what to do? If anyone has any advice or information, I would greatly appriciate it.
