  1. Hi Ken, oop's. Confirmed that it was an overheating issue, so you were spot on there. Found that one of the securing legs on the processor heatsink was broken causing hardly any contact. Fitted new parts today and heatsink compound. Process temperature monitor was getting up to 128 Degs C before the PC would shutdown! Windows now fully installed and running just fine. Many thanks for your advice.
  2. Hi KenB, many thanks for your response, it appreciated. Happy to report that I've managed to move on from my original issue and was resolved by a setting within BIOS that allowed a larger memory size to be used from a USB device. I had also checked what you said and found all of the correct Windows files were present on the USB stick. Have a new issue now that I'm checking into with the PC shutting down when its just 3 mins into loading the Windows operating system. Its not a reboot, it completely shuts down. Got to be temperature related on the processor I think? Thanks again for your advice.
  3. Pleeeeese help me as I've recently been working with my 12 year old Grandson helping him build his very first gaming computer and have a problem installing Windows 10! The hard disc drive was purchased via the internet and is a 500GB 3.5" SATA Hard Drive 16MB,7200RPM, Hitachi, SATA III 6Gb/s. Also purchased a legal version of Windows 10 that was supplied on a USB stick. Have configured the BIOS boot to select the USB stick first, but get the fault message "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" and same message just continues to be displayed no matter what key is pushed? There's another fault message displayed saying "The file size does not match the existing BIOS size" and don't really know what this means or how to get around it? I've added several pics that may help and are hoping I'm just being stupid and its something simple as I have an impatient Grandson stood over my shoulder continually saying "have you fixed it yet Granddad"! Thanks in advance
