Unfortunately, I am on a Windows 10 Home laptop

Is there any way other than BitLocker to password protect a folder on Windows 10? I only need to encrypt my personal folder on a shared PC.

It's my dad pc and he forgot the password.

I am following a guide that shares steps to reset admin password in safe mode with command prompt. Everything works fine but at the final step, I got en access denied error when inputting this command: net user user_name new_password what's could be the problem?
