  1. Hi, I have a bit of an issue with my pc, and am struggling to resolve it.... Everytime I switch on the pc, windows fails to load - instead I am presented with a black screen displaying the following message: "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows setup using the original setup cd-rom. Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair" Whenever I hit any key, the machine re-boots with the same screen. If I attempt to use the original set up cd-roms - nothing happens at all. The problem originally occured two days ago whilst I was playing an online game - the game crashed and I was presented with a windows error message (unfortunately I didnt make a note of this error message at the time). Any help/advice/assistance would be greatly appreciated - my hard drive contains a lot of my work over the last few years, including financial trackers and CV's - I would be devestated to lose this data (yes - I know i should have backed it up but hindesight is a wonderful thing!). Many thanks in advance.
