Hiya KenB Since my original post i have actually gone and bought an Acer laptop with Windows 10 pre-installed on it. I am online and at the moment i'm running Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS. J just want to make sure that everything is in place before i actually start the setup process on my new Acer laptop.

Hello everyone I am a rapidly aging old fella who has finally decided to get online but i must admit to being a computer beginner. I would like to purchase a Windows 10 Laptop to use for web authoring, downloading ebooks and Skyping. I would like the machine ready to go out of the box with no fiddling around with Internet or wi-fi connections. If Possible? I would also like a tutorial that shows someone like myself how to run and update the operating system. Finally, could anyone recommend suitable security software to keep myself and my machine safe online. Thanks!
