I've fixed my problem, a friend told me you can't copy and paste files to a DVD using Xp, so he suggested a program to use, CDburnerXp, and now i'm able to save all my photo's on to disc now, thanks for your help.

I retried to do the registry fix by deleting the lower filter (no upper filter), no still nothings changed. If i need to get a new drive do you suggest any model, not blu-ray, but must be dual layer. up to about 30quid.

I have a Samsung TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203D with F/W SB01 installed. I recently reinstalled Xp onto my PC but my DVD drive will not recognize DVD's, although it does recognize CD's. I have reinstalled F/W SB00, no effect and then reinstalled SB01, still no change, any help would be appreciated.
