  1. Hi I have nothing connnected up to the Usb Ports. I only have a wired Laser Mouse/Key Board and Monitor.
  2. Hi thank you maynardvdm and Seth and AdvancedSetup for your Help Suggestions and Input on this matter. The Computer was Fixed by the seller in January. The Computer was purchased from an Online Retailer and all the parts used were Brand New Third Party Components. The Retailer was informed that I had Upgraded the Power Supply before I sent The Computer back to have it Repaired. The blank screen along with the Constant Beeping Tone at Startup were all Eradicated. The Computer Does Not Crash anymore and touch wood nothing has gone wrong it apart from the Vista 64Bit rating dropping from Five to One now because of the Graphics card rating in Vista only showing as One. I have treid re-installing the Nvidia software but this has not resolved the problem in fact the RUNDLL ERROR IN NVCPL.DLL MISSING ENTRY: NVCPL RESTORE PERSISTENCE was first encountered when I installed the latest Nvidia driver for the Graphics Card. I triple checked that the driver was for the Geforce 8500GT Card & that it was for the Vista 64Bit OS before installing it. My brother also has exactly the same spec machine as mine and the one thing that I have noticed is that on startup on his PC. First the Graphics Card information is displayed on the screen on the left hand side and then the Asus screen Logo loads up. But on my PC only the Asus logo loads up first. I dont know why? I have just received two further Windows Updates. They are for the Nvidia Raid Controller. But these have failed to install. In the Problem Report and Solution Screen in Vista it states that. Problem caused by computer hardware This problem was caused by an unrecoverable hardware error that caused the operating system to stop functioning. If you have received this error more than once, it could indicate a serious problem with your computer. We recommend that you do the following: Back up your files to avoid data loss in case of a complete hardware failure. Contact the original manufacturer of your computer to determine the specific component which is failing. I dont know what caused this message to appear but I encountered no problems and the computer carried on working perfectly regardless. The updates were for the Nvidia Nforce Raid device. I have checked Windows Update for anymore Updates but there are none presently availlable to download at the time of writing this message. I have Not received any more Error Messages. In Device Manager/Storage Controllers/Nvidia Nforce Raid device The Device Status states This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) Does this make any sense? Is this message by any chance linked to finally resolving the Graphics Card issue? Apart from the Graphics Card issue which keeps Eluding me there are no other problems. The Computer is Stable and there are No Blue Screens or any Hint of Crashing. There are never any Error messages the only two that I have encountrered are the ones listed in this message. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  3. Hi I purchased a Desktop PC Online. The spec is as listed below. I am using Vista 64Bit OS Service Pack 1. Prior to service pack 1 coming out I encountered some problems with the pc such as constant bleeping & a blank screen. If the computer did load up past the Asus mobo screen logo the computer would sudenly crash and I would have to reboot to get it to work. After a while I failed in getting the computer to load up at all. I did some research on the net & forum after forum suggested that the power supply was the culprit. The power supply That which was bundled with the computer was a Winpower 420 watt thingy which was what was wrong all along. I ordered a Cooler Master RS 850 ESBA 850 watt Modular Power supply. I got it installed but problems were still there. The PC still did not load the bios or the OS. Prior to all of this the My rating on Vista 64 Bit was 5 when the pc was working but when I encountered my problems which were my fault as I was fiddling around with Vista & noticed that there was a folder stating Windows Old so like a fool I deleted It without knowing what it was. Everything went wrong after that such as the PC crashing all the time and a constant bleepimg sound. My graphics cards rating dropped after a while from 5 on Vista 64BIT to 1.0 and as a result of this my Vista rating is 1.0 unrated. I have had the computer sent back to the shop they resetted the PC so now it actually works and it never crashes. Should have had a better quality power supply from the beggining & not started fiddling about. But the Graphics score is annoying me now because its still showing as 1 even when new drivers are downloaded from both the Nvidia and windows update site for the graphics card. I have all the driver discs for the mobo & the graphics card but after installation nothing changes my Vista rating. I have tested the Video card with medal of honour allied assualt with all the settings on high and the game & card worked fine with no problems. I also tested playback of a dvd & still no problems. After the latest Graphics card driver download I received 3 error messages stating that RUNDLL ERROR IN NVCPL.DLL MISSING ENTRY: NVCPL RESTORE PERSISTENCE. I know this error message is associated with the Nvidia Control Panel but how can it be that even after installing all the drivers over and over again I cant seem to rectify the problem. Can someone Please Help.
