i turned on my computer this morning and the sound when i turned it on was really slow and crackling...when i try and watch videos on the internet its the same and the video itself is slower than normal with slow fuzzy sound. however, videos on windows media player run fine with perfect sound, as does itunes. whats wrong with my laptop? i'm running xp btw

when i open my browser (firefox) to use the internet it takes about 2 minutes to load my homepage (google). Once its loaded everything is fine and runs fast and smooth, but i don't know why it takes so long to load up

i'm pretty sure it is my browser settings cos it happened before and someone fixed it by fiddliing around with them. but i don't know what he did. but then again no programs that need an internet connection work either so i don't know. I can't give you the settings at the moment cos i'm not at home but i'll post them up in a week or so.

as i said my laptop connects to the network but when i open my browser it says that no connection was found (or something like that). it doesn't happen when i use an ethernet cable, only when i'm using wireless. i assume its something worng with my browser settings but i don't know where to start

When i connect to my wireless network through my laptop, it shows that my laptop is connected when i go to network conections etc. but when i open firefox or explorer it says there is no connection and i can't use the internet please help i realy need to sort this
