still backing up all my files but hopefully have that done soon! will I lose all my saved emails in Windows Mail when reinstalling?

I am extremely wary of reinstalling vista, will it be okay to upgrade my RAM first to see if that helps, without then hopefully having to reinstall vista

so how do I know what size of RAM to get? (which i will install after copying eyerything onto CD and then reinstalling vista)

okay here you go 1. As far as I can see I have removed the torrent programs 2. Apologies I did temporarily remove PC Guard and did not notice an difference 3. XP discs are full version 4. the XP discs were seperate as were for old PC 6. my laptop was bought with vista pre installed abd the current system specs - are you saying this is not good enough for vista?

I have the discs but sadly I have searched and cannot find the licence key for them :( any other solution you may have would be great :)

have just deleted spiceworks and it asked why I was deleting it and it looks like it doesnt support vista - it says "We support XP Pro and Windows Server 2003" the laptop did not come with a DVD or CD,vista was pre installed :confused:

no I am not getting an error message it is just trying to scan an entire network

disabled windows firewall and it let me in! however I accidentally clicked to scan network and that was taking forever. I stopped scan hoping to restart for this computer only but it wont let me view this option! I ahve shut down and restarted and it still says network scan is in progress. sorry I dont know what to do :(

hi could not run this scan. It siad my firewall was blocking it and asked me to temporarily turn it off. I did this and same problem!! any ideas? :confused:
