dont have windows xp/cd was pre installed and cant find recovery disk. HELP

no option to enter recover console, just BIOS ans SETUP. How do I download the recoery console. Can I download onto my laptop and then use it on my desk top? Your help is much appreciated

I did a full system scan using Norton anti virus. Discovered a trojan hourse which was quarantined then I deleted it. This is the only possible thing I can think of that has caused my Fuji Siemans Scaleo P PC to do the following: Windows wont start up. It goes so far then prompts me for safe mode, start as normal and start from last time windows worked ok. I have tried them all and they all go through the windows logo then give a blank screen. I can't find my recovery disk. Please help me - If possible I dont want to loose some of my pictures etc
