  1. ok cool thanks ill get on that :)
  2. Perfectly web 2.0 :D
  3. Bump :) It's crashing quite a bit in the last few days now. You can see in the pic above the adapter I put in for the 12v 4 to 8 pin plug. But that doesnt seem to be doing very much magic :\
  4. can't you see the pic I posted already? lol here's the direct link: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v360/ginggoth/pcpcpc.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v360/ginggoth/pcpcpc.jpg
  5. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v360/ginggoth/pcpcpc.jpg Also, she's sitting right infront of a usually opened window (and ofc its always cold :D)
  6. no actually  I have an acrtic cooling fan for the nvidia 6800 will that fit my 8400? EDIT: which is the NV5 silencer (Arctic Cooling) (..found not to be compatible so will look up thier newer range) I played the game, restarted, BIOS'd it up, upon restarting again it crashed, so waited n restarted again lol but got the following: GPU temp during game: 54oC (after crashing n sitting there for 30 mins) gpu temp: 48oC BIOS crap after first restart after gaming.. cpu temp: 56oC system temp?: 60 oC Voltages I only found these: Vcore: 139 Vddr: 182 +3.3: 3.36 +12 12.28 +5.0: 5.16 hope that helps? Sorry man, this is so annoying! EDIT #2: Ok if its a cooling thing ill get on it.. I'm wondering now if we ended up downgrading our GFX card, we went from nvidia geforce 6800 (gs i think) to the nvidia geforce 8400gs (as we were previously told the old gfx card was at fault) ... so did we end up shooting ourselves in the foot in the end? if the last one IS fine and runs better than our current it has a better cooling fan on it.. then i might whack it back in n see whats going on :)
  7. ok I installed GPU-Z (before game running) GPU temp: 54.0 oC GPU core Clock: 459.0 mhz GPU memory clock: 400.0mhz and im a minute I'll run the game.. I'll try cmmand n conquer 3 tib wars.. it usually crashes more if i have music running in the background too but i wont have that on :)
  8. ok cool thanks, I'll do that now.. i got a cpu temp program, ill look for a gpu first:)
  9. The bios remains the same after starting up again, and yeah we did buy (and put in) a new battery with the mobo.. jus incase, u know what pc world are like lmao:D
  10. oh ok I get it :) I don't think that solved whatever the problem is though, but I'll keep digging
  11. That one is 24-pin on my mobo
  12. lol :) Ok, the motherboard (intel chip) has an 8pin hole there for the power but the power supply only came with a 4 pin cable, so i bought an adapter from the 4pin cable to the 8pin hole.
  13. ahh it crashed last night!!! NOOOOOO!!! Of course, started up once I'd left her alone for 30 minutes... the hardware was barely warm nevermind hot (as with the cold weather last night:( )
  14. Hey :) I put in the cable, it didnt like it the first time round, it started but nothing came up on screen so i gave it a bit, and had a poke around, and now she's running :D Although I ran CPUID and teh results came out the same as on page 3, is that expected? I updated the bios too (only came out couple weeks ago) and I'm about to check out if there's any more overclocking options in the BIOS as there wasn't before (when u asked me to automate them) cheers
  15. Hey all :) I have the 4pin female to 8pin male ATX cable, are there any tests i can perform to see if it makes alot of difference to power distribution..? if that is the problem  Thanks, Natalie :)
