Hey all I have what appears on my desktop which looks like the windows security icon which pops up every now and then saying "The system has detedcted active spyware which may impact performance. Click here to download an uptodate anti-spyware solution. I stupidly clicked on it and a page opened like the security centre one with a list of software - virusrange, virus heal asking me to download. However when i open up the security centre manual it does not have these options. Im guessing fake! Annoying thing is i cant remove it.

It could just be a dirty fan and the heatplate (the bit under the fan with the grid ) could be blocked. Open your case, ground your self and clean the fan with some dust off. Quick bursts from a distance say 15cm..DO NOT let it turn to liquid form (white foam) by bieng to close and holding the trigger too long. How old is your machine.

No sadly its not under warrenty any more :) this is why it is broke lol. It is a Pakard bell ixtreme gold 2107. Also now my monitor is making a noise and depending on what is displayed (light or dark colours) changes the pitch of the sound. I hope that explains it because it sounds wierd. Im guess ing that that is also on its way outas if i turn the monitor off and leave it for awhile its ok after that. The monitor came with the machine and i cant find a model number. Thanks for your reply though.
