  1. Seth The PC is Mesh Matrix Inspire sorry I can't remember the exact spec but the processor is a AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2000Mhz. Unfortunately I can't see any info on it. I was running XP home edition. Thanks Jon
  2. Seth thanks for the response. I have only a Recovery CD. I have tried running it on 3 occasions, and I have had the following error messages in this order. file \i386\halaacpi.dll could not be loaded the error code is 7. file setupdd.sys could not be loaded the error code is 4096. the file i2omp.sys is corrupted. I then entered the recovery programme and ended up with the following message, 'The corruption on your windows partition is too extensive to perform the restore option you selected'. It then advises me to call Mesh the pc supplier!!
  3. Hi I have the following problem with my Mesh Matrix Inspire PC; Sorry I'm not sure of the spec but I did get into the Bios earlier that said the processor is an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 2000Mhz. I am currently using another pc. The PC is running XP but I don't know what version. The PC was accidently powered off and since then the following sequence of events happens when I try and start it, It bleeps as normal. I get a black screen with the following options 1. Start in Safe Mode 2. Start in Safe Mode with Networking 3. Start in Safe Mode with Command Prompt 4. Start windows normally I have tried all options that just bring me back to the same screen. I did manage to get into a Mesh help screen that told me that XP was corrupt and I should use the recovery disk to restore factory settings. What I would like to know is how can I restore things without lossing the info on my c drive. Lesson learnt I should back it up!! Prior to this happening I had been backing things up, I think I have saved my photos, but I don't want to lose my email adresses. If I removed the hard drive and installed a new one with a new copy of XP could I then recover the info on the other disk at a later date? Thanks for your help Jon
