it came up with 86 files some are under windows, compdata and program files. it is safe to assume i need to delete all of them? it does not look like anything i used recently. Paula

you are right. and i did remove all the lexmark stuff last week. i am not sure if anything else lingers around i did a search and nothing came up. now what should i do? Paula

HP Photosmart 8150 I went to HP and downloaded the software and the error message 1058 popped up. i have been in the systems and trying to start the printer spooler. read was it depended on and tried to start that up (lexbce server) and got an error message from that as well. So then I tried to see what that was dependant on and found that the RPC needed to be started in which i did get it to. so where i am now is the printer spooler will not start as well as the lexbce and i do see where the dependancy is. but being unfamiliar does not help. Hope all this info can help. Paula

i tried that and got an new error 1068: the dependancy service or group failed to start Thats a new one. Any suggestions ? Paula

Not so great at this stuff. I update windows info. since then i cannot get my printer to work. when i go to start the spooler this message comes up Could not start Printer Spooler on local computer. Error 1058: The service could not be started either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled services associated with it. I have tried everything even downloading the printer CD. ??????????what to do?????? Thanks, Paula
