Hi Everyone. My PC (Running Windows XP) has been making strange noises, while all programs seem to be running fine. First, since yesterday (at least 28 hours ago) there's been a beeping noise. It is usually 6 beeps over 10 seconds - The Beeps could happen every minute or ten minutes. (For an audio example, please download the MP3 file from sendspace at Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!) Then in the last hour or so, it keeps making the Windows XP Error noise as well. It use to do it twice a time over 5 seconds, now it does it three times! Also (maybe related I don't know) every few hours a spam message/Internet Explorer window will pop up - I normally only use Firefox. Any ideas? Thanks in advance... Peter.
