how do you restore your computer back to its default erasing all files and everything, cos my computer is so slow, and doesnt work like it used to

I have windows XP, Amd Athlon 64, compact presario etc. problem i have is that when i am playing games, i keep getting interupted and the game is minimised to the taskbar, and nothing appears on the screen. this could be i think to do with windows internet explorer? should i uninstall it?
