hi my dell xp home cd came with the dell computer was an answer to beeeceeebeee question on were i got xp home from .......... my computer came with xp pro on when i brought it .......... but it is a an illegal copy and wont to put it right , so no i dont under stand why you are confussed !

Hi mr w no i never got "shut" of the orignal o/p ! i recived the dell desktop with xp pro on it yes i was aware it had a none legal copy of xp pro on it i aslo new it had all the orignal o/p system with it and i was happy with that it was just the just case of loading it back on ! I am not sure how to assure you it is not a pirate o/p i am putting back on????? Please advise me what to do from here ? it is a real shame you seem to think the worse of people ............

Hi my dell xp home cd came with the dell computer i got second hand, the op on it at mo is a counterfit xp pro by the looks of it that is why i wont rid of it the guy was a bit of a plonker i got it of.

Hi i just wont to speak up for me brother it was my laptop it is a vista ready machine but came loaded with xp o/s ! while i had the machine i had a problem formating and loading a fresh xp it was flashing up a blue screen saying some thing about a sata drive it could not find ,so in the end i just cleaned it up as you guys suggested .I think noose is getting i bit frustrated with it all can you talk me through what he is to do many thanks .

Hi many thanks computer running a lot better :D i still have a problem whan it boots up it seems to be going into a black screen with white writing with 2 selections 1 start up xp home 2 start up xp set up if i press up on to option 1 then xp starts as normal othwer wise it goes in set up the screen goes blue and sayes something like istyer file not found ? its just realy annoying haveing to press up at the write time when booting up each time any ideas .... many thnks

Back to factory condition would be good i have all the drivers on one cd .

Hi yes i belive it does "intel ®82801 gbm SATA AHCI controller " is what is says . it all sounds a bit complex what i have to do i might just leave it as it is it just takes a long time to load up and get things running even more so after haveing a few trojans .

Hi it seems my laptop already set up to boot from cd as it is starting up it says "Press any keey to boot from cd " If my hard drive is not good would i still be able to use my laptop as i am doing now ??
