  4. Hello, I am using a 3G usb stick with t-mobile. i have been using it to run a terminal ssh connection into my server and then internet explorer for the net. however even though the ssh connection works fine and i have a full signal, in the middle of using the net IE says it can't find a connection and no page will load. There is a connection and its working... anyone know how to get round this IE bug? Im running IE7 on XP SP3. Thank you.
  5. Hello, I have a Belkin N1 vision working with a vigor 120 (adsl modem) with talktalk isp. took a little while to setup using PPPoA etc. but it does work most of the time but.. at least once a week i seem to loose connection which will work again once i restart the router. not sure what is causing this... i was thinking it might happen when talktalk change my ip address... any ideas on how to solve this?
  6. Hi, I have a bog standard dell deminsion 1100, and it has problems recieving any data on the network, as it doesnt assign itself an ip address. so first off i fully re-installed windows, with no luck. obviously ive tried all hardware envovled replaced computer with another of the same model and everything worked ok, proving router and cable worked ok. next i assumed fault with onboard network adapter, so i brought a pci-network card and installed that and disabled the on-board chip. and even though with a new install of windows and a new network card still the same problem... doesnt assign itself an ip address and doesnt recieve any data. and natually everything is setup to auto-obtain ip etc etc so i now assume a motherboard problem... but does anyone else have any ideas... thanks taking the time to help me bradley
