  2. If you are prepared to reformat your HDD then use a partition manager (Built in one on Windows Install CD if you have one for example) and reinstall windows on a single partition. Or use a free opensource Partition Manager like Partition Magic or QTParted live CD (Google it) to reformat and repartition your HDD. Make sure you have Master/Recovery DVD's and backed up important files.
  3. I would back up your files first. And depending on your manufacture and if you created your master CD's/DVD's then I would format your HDD before restore. Also take Hardware setting back to original settings when it left the factory. Like on my machone If i use a different Drive to the original phillips it will produce a DOS error code as the hardware part number doesnt match the number on the CD.
  4. Are there any DVD's or CD;s in any of the drives? Once I had a DVD inserted into my optical drive and it wouldnt get past the flash screen untill I removed it. Also make sure your Hard Disk is bootbale in the BIOS and set it to First Boot Priority if not already. Hope this helps.
