Hi, I'm no expert but I would fail to see that your transfer of data between your units would be via your service provider. This would just transfer between both your units. Question--how large are these files? If you have any doubt in your mind you could copy these files onto a DVD disc but remember these are only 4.6ish GB in size each. As an example in one section of my computer I have 324 music files which only comes to less than 1GB. Hence one disc should hold at least 1450 files depending on format. No doubt someone else may well jump onto this but I would think your fears are unfounded. Good luck with your transfer of your files.

HI I find the best way is to log onto 'CRUCIAL' site, - download their tool and it will tell you the best set up for your machine. Does not mean you need to purchase from them but you will know what your looking for. Good luck.

I'm back, got to the auto play section but screen shot is at first not the same as yours. Clicked AUTO PLAY and selected VLC in DVD section ,then save, now I'm getting lost.!!! In 'This PC'' still have to click Play with VCL player, but do get chapters and menu etc. [still no auto run] I have a PRE LOVED LAPTOP which is an ASUS, when I put a DVD into this it comes up with ASUSDVDPLAYER and gives me all I need. This is powered by CYBERLINK, however you have to pay for this and I'm a little tight on that side. Hence result is I will stick with VCL player on my desktop, for now. Many thanks.

Now back to using VLC, have menu and chapters back but as yet no auto run. Will try again later. Cheers.

FOLLOW UP. So this is where I’m at— In win 10 APPS there is–'WIN DVD PLAYER'. When I engage this I get a separate page which says –To play something insert a DVD---I’ve done this but it just sits there with no change, In win 10 APPS there is—'Films and TV'—When I engage this it shows what is on the hard drive hence I can select then play [but only what’s on the hard drive] After inserting a DVD into my desktop/laptop File explorer shows the DVD listed, however when I click on this is says Files currently on disc 2 – then shows AUDIO TS and VIDEO TS when I click on VIDEO it shows a lot of files for me to select from. There is no AUTO RUN? I may not have explained this very well but you should get the jist. [i hope]

Having upgraded to windows 10 I find that when I insert a DVD it will no longer AUTO RUN or list the MENU or CHAPTERS. It lists a stream of info for me to select a run situation. The DVD then plays using NERO, having removed this it now plays using VLC. How can I please get back to AUTO PLAY and or list the MENU as the standard windows media player appears to be missing?? I have set the start up to be –run using windows media player but it’s not there? Thanking you all in advance.

just a thought again--have you ran two pages off together [one straight after the other] is the print ok for half the first page but faint for the bottom half of page one and faint page two? I think its worth changing the clone BLACK ink for an other, I've had some problems with generic inks in the past but in fairness I always use them only due to costs.

Thanks NADGER, its good to know that this fix works,up to win 10, I would think that most if not all the Win OS are covered now. Maybe just maybe Epson would put out an update for others who are not on / use FPCH.

Hi, looking at your link it does say refurbished with full warranty -- I doubt that a company having tested the said unit would supply with any background info left on the machine. Why not email them and obtain a written confirmation first. Good luck.

Hi have you tried removing the disc and doing a restore to previous point? it may be as simple as that, worth a try. Or just turn off the power then after a couple of mins restart it should ask how you would like to reboot. suggest to a previous time. Good luck.

I had the same problem about two weeks ago and was advised to leave well along~~ do NOT reply do NOT unsubscribe~~ just DELEAT You should find that they soon stop or reduce greatly. Good luck. Hope this helps others.

Hi I also use Virgin media emails and have checked mine to see if I could save them in an other format--to date without luck. No doubt some one will come up with a simple solution, but mine so far is as follows. First I copy my Gmail or other email address so I can paste it-- at the bottom of my Virgin emails it says [ reply or forward ] I click FORWARD then paste my new email address in the TO section then press SEND. It may be long winded but works. Hope this may help.

Hi, I from time to time use my tablet which has a screen format of 4:3 which is more or less the square type,[for want of a better word] if a run a film it often goes to 16:9 which is what the film is produced in,and hence the black lines top and bottom of the screen. there is a symbol along the bottom of the screen which allows me to alter this to a different screen size but it can crop the picture. For internet viewing I find that the 4:3 format is better as you get a larger screen size. It sounds to me that your tablet may well have this 4:3 format, does it look more sq than oval? In the settings it should indicate the initial screen type. At the end of the day you may just have to live with it but I do not find it a problem. Hope this helps in some way.

Just to back up the comments of WOODWORKER-- there are many good cheap all in one printers out there from £30-£35 but you will find that replacement inks cost a lot more--its a sprat to catch a mackerel I would say that you need to look into the replacement inks as much as the cost of the printer.
