    I have been playing around with for a few days now, been looking at this nvapfilter.dll, was on the nvidia forums and eveyone who has this problem have been having internet problems as they not able to get on the internet, but I dont have that problem, so I just downloaded another messeger program Digsby and its much better that MSN, Beeceebee thank you for the msconfig tip I was able to disble a few things and the pc is already loading up much quicker than before.     ok I have disabled a few things from the start up that I didn't need, what sort of Nvidia things are you particulary looking at, I am looking at the start up and not making much sence of what things I don't need :(. JaZz

    right I found the root of the problem, well...I hope I did lol, its something called "nvappfilter.dll" can some one explain to me what that is, I googleing it and there have been loads of people who have been having the same problem JaZz

    Right I checked it out and everything was ticked, not sure what some of those things are so I took your advice and left them as they are. Is there something specifically that I should be looking at, I sometimes get a windows problem with my NVIDIA nForce error messege, it just comes out the blue, could that be the problem?

    cheers for the reply Dalo, I installed a few updates but got at error "code 80073712" is that anything important? I still get the problem, how do I check for the startup or disabling processes? I went into control panel and startup programs there and everything that needed to be permitted was permitted, is there other ways I can check them? what sort of things should I be looking at the start up programs? JaZz

    hey people I been having this problem with Live Messenger and Live Mail, once I sign in on those I get a message which says "Wndows Live Communications Platform has stoped working" and as a result I am not able sign in. I am not sure why its happening, I have uninstalled both and then re-installed them and I still get the problem. thank you in advance JaZz

    hey ppl found out the model its a MIT-RHEA-C and the model of the battery BP-8050, (S), went on the packard bell user support and found a post that that model is the R1, here is the post Packard Bell User Forum :: View topic - mit-rhea-c - Which model is this?, looked at that link I sent at the original post again and I am guessing that, that battery would fit in his laptop. Does it look like that? or Have I got something wrong :( lol JaZz

    hey ppl JaZz here I been getting this message for some reaon everytime I open IE "Exception Processing Message 0x0000013 Prarmeters 0x756892A0 0x00000004 0x756892A0 0x756892A0" I click cancel and IE just loads the page with no problem,and the computer runs fine,can someone just tell me why i'm getting this message. thank you JaZz

    build for me all the way! lol,I built mine and I can honestly admin im not the most experienced person with pcs,it was hard and it took a while but it was fun and well worth the time and I managed to save my self some extra £.yeah takes time to look for parts (well it was for me lol),but at the end its was great :).and yeah i had some major problems with mine,but with the help of every1 in Free Pc Help it was sorted :),It just depends in what situation ppl are in really with time and cash and experience.     Here is the whole procedure to activate the command. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories. Launch the Command Prompt by right-clicking on it and choosing Run As Administrator. Type in the following command and press Enter: net localgroup Administrators /add Local Service Close the Command Prompt window by typing exit. Restart your computer. Launch the game again. hope this helps ppl with left 4 dead problem thank you JaZz

    hey ppl JaZz here the game finally worked :) i added "net localgroup Administrators /add Local Service" in the command prompt and it worked,aparatly alot off ppl with vista had to do that. thank you all for your help with my problem JaZz

    hey ppl JaZz here thx for your posts in relation to my problem,Goku i followed the post you sent me.but it still dont work but at least now i get an error messege.where before it was just the game would freeze,stream crashes first and then followed by the game,i went into the BIOS to disable those things but they were already disabled :(,it looks like it coud be a steam problem,i m still looking into it thank you JaZz

    hey ppl Jazz here i still have problems with left 4 dead crashing,i have been getting some help on the left 4 dead forums and they told me to disable in my BIOS "Spread Spectrum" and "Intel Speedstep tech".i have been looking everywhere for what those things mean and i been getting no where,could some just explain what they are to me in plain beginner computer language lol,i dont want to go and disable them without knowing what they are. thank you JaZz

    hey beeceebee thx for the reply,well the game was running fine when i fist installed it and i had it running on max what my pc could do,with AA x4,it just recently it just wont respond when i tried to load the levels,i tried to lower the graphic considerably and it still dont want to work.i just thought that the game woudl run as i have Quad Core 2.4Ghz Thank you JaZz
