Hi There. Not sure if this is the right place to place this question wondered if somebody could help with the following query. I HAVE A SAMSUNG CAMCORDER WHICH USES THE MINI DVD DISCS WHICH ARE 30 MIN DISCS. I AM TRYING TO FIND A WAY OF PUTTING THEM ONTO ONE DISC. FOR EXAMPLE WHEN I GO ON HOLIDAY I GENERALLY USE 2 DISCS BUT WANT TO SOMEHOW TRANSFER THEM TO A SINGLE DISC IF THIS MAKES SENSE! WILL I NEED TO BUY SOME SOFTWARE OR IS THERE A FREE DOWNLOAD SITE THAT I COULD USE TO TRY AND DO THIS? THANKS LAYLER

hi yeah i literally want to put the mini dvd into my pc which i know how that works and then somehow transfer the recording so i can put it onto a blank dvd to keep. this way i can then reuse my mini dvd again. thanks layler

hi yes it did come with a software disc which i have installed. from my camcorder instruction booklet it looks like i could do a data transfer if i h ad a memory card in my camcorder which i dont thats why i thougt i might be able to do something with the disc instead. so should i try the free version of nero or do i need something else installed or should i buy a memnory card for my camcorder. it is a samsung make

hi allan wondered if anybody has any advice for me i have a dvd camcorder i want to copy my mini dvds onto my pc so from there i can somehow transfer it onto a dvd disc the discs i have for my camcorder are rewritable and quite expensive hence the reason why i want to try and use them again. thanks layler

hi there my printer is working at last ! i unistalled my printer software again and all my anti virus and firewalland then reinstalled printer and then anti virus and firewall and so far all good. thanks again for all your patience and help layler

hi there well have tried all of that again but still not working seems a bit strange because it does print if i print from my picture card in printer also have only had the printer since may last year !

sorry but how do i disable the firewall i have commodo and antivira are these firewalls

hi there no have tried with the prin ter spoolers still not working could it be anything to do with anti virus or firewalls do you think ?

hi there yes have done this now but same problem still just says printing started but has only got as far as 15%

hi there in reply to your question. i plug the usb cable in to my laptop and it makes a noise from my pc i presume to acknowledge connection. if i press print, it brings everything up as normal ie the print page saying how many copies etc and then a message ccomes up from lexmark saying that it is printing but then it only gets to say this time 31% printing and then seems to stop, it has got as far before as saying 99% printing but still nothing comes off. it is a lexmark x4550 model. thanks layler

weeks !! so have restarted it many times! just never seem to get to the bottom of the problem !

hi there think i have a problem with the communication between my printer and laptop. i know my printer is working cause i have been able to print a self test page, also i have been able to put my sd card into my printer and print via usb cable. my printer can be enabled wireless however i cannot even get it to work with cable at the minute , wondered if it could possible be something to do with anti virus and firewalls? i have comodo and avira anti virus on there at the minute. thanks. again sorry for keep bothering you. layler

i have just clicked on all of the 6 things and it says the device is working properly for all 6 of them

it has 6 things under it 3 state sis 7001 pci to usb open host controller and 3 state usb root hub

i usually work wireless with my laptop is that what you mean ?

hi there not sure if i under the right topic here but i seem to be having a number of different problems with my pc. when i plug my kodak camera in to my computer via usb cable it is not bringing any pictures up- it like its not detecting anything. i have also posted a similar problem under one of your forums -printer issues as my printer does not seem to be working again when i connect via usb. have tried using different ports as that doesnt make any difference. also i am not using my battery at the minute as think it has had its day so am only using my laptop with power through plug. also when i type i am having to type really slow or it like puts text all over the place! i think i need to buy a new battery but not sure about these other issues! am not sure wot i shud try and sort out first! thanks again for your help. layler:confused:

hi have tried uninstalling and reinstalling software. it is a lexmark x455o wirelesss printer when you say printer cable do you mean the power cable ?

hi wonder if you could help. i cannot get my printer to work seems some sort of communication problem between laptop and printer. is says printing but then doesnt print- wonder if something is blocking it ?? any suggestions welcome . thanks layler

hi there sorry to be a nuisance again but could you tell me if i have the correct programmes on there to protect my pc. i have the free avira anti virus i also have comodo internet security. is this sufficient to protect my pc ? thanks layler

hi there yes have disable it and then it allows me to access the net so this must be the thing that keeps blocking the web pages,. thks layler

hi so have updated my anti virus and followed instructions re google tool bar have also got sp3 on there. i think zone alarm is blocking my access to net should i remove this and if so do mi need to replace it with something else? thanks layler
