Hi, I have hardwired as suggested but still get the problem/ It is orange broadband with a Thompson router linked via a USB port.It was fine for months. The signal strengh is marked as very good. Everytime it goes offline I use the "diagnose connection problems" in the tools menu,then go to my homepage and it works fine.........untill it goes offline agai? Any more ideas? Do you think it is a connection problem or a bug which keeps taking it offline? thanks Mike

No I have a desktop....... I have a laptop from work and its fine- never have any connection problems I have noticed that if i use the "diagnose connection problem" in the tools menu after a while its ok again? Keep helping me !! thanks Mike

its a wireless connection........its been fine for months but only in the last few weeks has it been playing up? I have also noticed that the screen when i am on a webpage keeps flicking back to my orange homepage. Any ideas? thanks

Please can some body help me ! I have just joined and have an immediate provblem.............. When i turn the PC on and try to connect to the internet(broadband via bt) it keeps going offline .I keep changing to online through the settings menu but it reverts back.Sometimes (like now) it lets me on line but can go offline at any point. Its driving me mad........can anybody help and advise what to do?:mad: thanks Mike
