  1. ive got a working copy of xp.i dont like vista thats why i took it off and as ive said i dont have any cd`s for this machine its a home build, black case no names on it. what i was trying to find out was there a way i can identify the mother board in some way and that will give me something to go at as the ethernet port isnt working so i can access the internet to do anything with it at the min.
  2. hi i was given the pc by a friend and i just re-installed xp which isnt a legit copy, everything went on ok but im missing the drivers for the ethernet port etc,i dont have any cd`s for it.ive opened the side and all i know is the mother board is made by abit, the ethernet port socket has p35-152-19w9 printed on it and its a 1.6ghz amd processer ive tried looking on the net for drivers but drawn a blank.before i reinstalled os it had windows vista on and was apparantly all working fine. i was wondering if there was any way of identifying the mother board so i could do a more detailed search for drivers. thanks for any help much appreciated.
