  1. What can I say, I'm impatient :P Anyway, it seems to be picking up speed. But if its still bad I will try again tomorrow. Apparently there are some issues with LoTRO and X-fi cards which may have been causing BSOD's I have been having recently which could possibly be a cause to this bad performance?? Hopefully updating my sound drivers will resolve this.
  2. I have restored to yesteday evening, which is after the patch, but I know I was ok then. It has worked in the main, but I am still not as fast as I have been previously, but I will check the game forums just in case there was a known patch issue Anyway, thanks for the advice :D
  3. Hey No, but I will try now. Thx
  4. Hi all, hope you may be able to shed somelight on my problem. My PC was running fine yesterday but wouldn't shut fully down properly so I just turned off the power. Turned on this morning and everything was running extremely slowly as in 10 minutes to open "My Computer". I couldnt open up task manager but my G15 said I was using 99% of my RAM on its little display. I read a few other threads and have done a selective startup using MSconfig as suggested and checked only my Bullguard and Java to stat up and on a restart I am running alot faster but still not as fast as my PC should be capable of. The only thing that I have downloaded recently was a patch for Lord of the Rings Online. My drivers are up to date and I have a clean virus scan. Whilst I can probably survive with it running as it is now I would still like to be able to find the culprit if possible and wonder if you can give me some ideas on what it might be slowing me down or an idea of how I can go about eliminating good processes so that I can narrow down what may be causing my issue.
