  1. Erm ... Well I did'nt see anything like that on the board and it did'nt say in the manual , But I got a bran new spankin Core 2 Duo E8400 3GHZ , and a Gigabyte Mobo of ebuyer.com
  2. Problem solved! problem solved: my MOBO was faulty , I tried everything , reset CMOS , replug ATX 4 pins and 24 pin power , checked psu , used 3 gpu's , processor on inspection was fine , the pins were fine . used different RAM ,. I'm returning my board to PC world , Meh Last time I trust them. That's probably saw a pre-owned board of my one i bought . I would not reccomend anything from pc world , from now on i buy on Ebuyer.com
  3. Final hope.... Well I tried all your advice and unfortunately my monitor still won't boot , I also tried to use 1 gb of ram and still the same. I'm going to reset the CMOS , my last only hope (I can think off) . Thanks Edit : No , unfortunately no avail , still the same issue , The only things I have connected are a , HDD , CPU , MOBO , RAM , PSU, VGA cable to onboard graphics and a DVD drive. I know for a fact the Ram , PSU , Monitor are fine.

  5. Hello all , recently I ordered a Corsiar TX-650 , I also bought a new GIGABYTE GA-73PVM-S2H with E7200 and I bought an AKASA AK-965. My old motherboard I was replacing was a VIA PM9 series Motherboard to this GIGABYTE. I was then made aware of a process called 'XP repair install' , and I read up on it and Got my XP disk handy. When I switch on the PC , It starts up , fans spinning , DVD drive spinning , but no display , the monitor is just on standby mode. I then looked at the keyboard and when The PC starts up thier are no lights on the Keyboard , and no POST. I connected my 8800GS inside it and connected my DVI-VGA and powered on , all the fans were spinning (GPU , CPU etc) , and nothing , no display. The keyboard normally should show 3 lights and they were none. So I changed my GPU to my 8600GT , powered on still no display . I then switched to on board DVI and VGA and still no display or POST , my case had no internal speakers so I cant hear the Beeps. The only thing I can think of is to reset the CMOS by putting a jumper on it , I doubt it will work. These are the things I kept the same when replacing my Motherboard. 1. DVD drive 2. Sata HDD (1 hd) 3. Case Fans 4. Case 5. DDR 2 667 2GB ram , (I also have a spare 1gb ram) Thanks , please reply soon. -Bindo.

  7. Well Hello , I'm Bindo245 nice to meet you all. Well I have a problem if you read the title , You 'll see that my PC is a VIA chipset and I recently Acquired a 8800 GS XFX Alpha Dog edition. It obviously didn't start and through processes of elimination I came to the conclusion of The GPU or the Board, now I switched the card back to my old 8600gt and it worked fine. Still I recently came across the news of VIA chipsets and 8800's and well some type of flashing to 'GEN 1' bios. My problem is how to flash the bios. Thanks. P.S. My specs: XFX 8800 GS alpha dog edition, 'EZCOOL' PS-900 VGA Monitor Dell 17'' Mother board specs , 'VIA P4M900 Chipset board'' P4M900M3 (MSI)
