  1. I think there is a very good chance i'll be back! thanks for your help
  2. Er... just noticed the diagnostic lights 3 and 4 were showing (memory fault) not 2 and 4 (graphics card fault) as i thought. I.ve taken the faulty stick of memory out and it has booted up ok, albeit a bit slowly. havnt put the new grap[hics card in though. will get new memory tomorrow and try again. no idea on the mother board, found this on dell website, i've got a pentium D, thanks by the way : ) :- Processor Processor type Intel® Pentium® 4 Intel® Pentium® D Intel® Core™ 2 Duo NOTE: Not all Pentium 4 processors support Hyper-Threading technology. 3. Hi, not so good with computers and i think i've bitten off more than i chew! I've got a Dell E520 with an Intel Pentium D. I wanted a new graphics card so i could have a dvi output, I bought a Sapphire Radeon 3650 512MB. I put it in and now the computer will not work, no startup, no output whatsoever. I went through a trouble shooting guide and the diagnostic lights on the front show a "possible graphics card failure". so i took it out and still nothing, i didnt deactivate the on board graphics before installing the new card either. could this be why it is no longer working? or have I totally wrecked it? Thanks for any help in advance
