    I tried that link but it took me to windows update, which I have tried already in between posts I also tried downloading the driver from Asus's website as that is my motherboard but everytime i tried to install it, it said "cannot find driver, please restart the system and run setup again" and this came up everytime i restarted and tried again.

    Hi Goku , Thank You but after I had uninstalled it, I rebooted and then ran the new device wizard but it did not find anything

    exact make, model and number of your computer? . . How do i find that? Sorry. And I had to choose the Dont search, i will choose the driver to install? But then it comes up with ' Cannot Start this hardware There was a problem installing this hardware: Microsoft WINMM WDM Audio Compatibility Driver . . A Driver ( Service) for this device has been disabled an alternative driver may be providing this functionality

    Yeah its checked on as install the software automatically? i clicked it, but it only said cannot continue the hardware update wizard? :S

    And How Do I Find That Out? Sorry. p.s When i do go to device manager, theres a ! and its yellow beside the name 'Microsoft WINMM WDM Audio Compatibility Driver? Ive never noticed it, before.

    hey, I have come here for help because for a while now I havent been able to get any sound out of my PC, I have tried with speakers AND headphones but neither work, which makes me believe it's a problem with my PC or sound card, any ideas?
