Freezeing has returned, ran startup repair again, it failed and i was unable to get a decent diganostic error message and I couldnt make sense of the logs. Would a system restore back to the day I got the computer be reccomended?
I'm unable to get the details of the error message as it has no freezed on startup since I poseted the topic.
I ran Last Known Good Configuration and it started up fine with no issues. I then restarted my computer twice and it booted fine. Is this an permerment fix?
Hey I recently bought a new laptop and I'm having some issues with it and I was woundering if I could have some help.
My Laptop is a HP Pavilion dv5 Series running 32-bit Vista Home Premium
It has:
AMD Turion x2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-72 at 2.1Ghz
4.00GB Ram
Ati-Mobility Radeon HD 512MB
Vista freezes on start up around 80% of the time at the loading bar screen. It also happens when the computer is awoken from sleep mode. I have to manually shut down my computer in order for vista to start up.
I have run error checking on my hard drive with no errors shown, and startup repair which tells me I have an error which is unable to be fixed.
I read on another website that it may be caused by windows update so I run system restore before the updates were installed and it still hasnt worked.
Could someone please help me out as it is a new laptop and im finding it rather frustrating.
