I am using a cracked version (h20), until my legit version of cubase 4 comes from steinberg, I would like to add that this is already paid for, and have got it through educational discount (I'm on a electronic Music Production course).

I will post a full PC spec tonight after I get in from work, and fully explain what the PC is used for.:)

I have a friend with version 2, I am going to try his copy before buying version 4. I have no need for version 5 yet, as it is only full of extras that are not necessary to me.

I had to re-install windows thanks to some muppet creating one of these evil malware/spyware things. So now I need to know what is the best program that I can keep running in the background to monitor everything, I download things on my laptop (VSTs / Freeware etc for my music stucio) and then load them ont my external HD, and the onto the PC, so I would like to run the same program on both computers, but obviously the laptop will need more protection. By the way I have only been using the site 2 days and am amazed by the quick & helpful responses I get, I'll recommend to all my m8s!!

I'm a music producer and need the system to run quicker. I'll post all the info tonight. :)

I'm currently running on 3GB RAM, Dual core AMD. How can I over clock my PC? And what is the safest way to do it, and the safest overclock limit?

I installed both xp and cubase (full reinstall of both) Maybe I should try a different version of the software?

Yeah, I re-installed windows xp pro, and now cubase is the only program on the PC, I really cannot understand it. I'm currently using Cubase SX3 on windows XP Pro, with 3GB Ram, and E-MU 0404 Soundcard. There is hardly anything else installed on the PC, as I have just re-installed windows again, to correct a few problems. Cubase will open & operate fine, but when I save a project and try to re-open it again, Cubase will just freeze, and I get the ''Cubase is not responding' error. Has anyone else had this and to you know how to rectify it?
