just instald 1gb of memory now my monitor wont come on,just says no video input. tower starts up but no screen can some 1 help plz. thank you.

need help my kids pc keeps running slow saying virtual memory low windows will increase but nothing happens..checking how much space i got its 75% free.. windows xp home 512mb-- 1.0ghz. could some 1 help if they can thank you.
