I know it wont help, but I had a similar problem after installing itunes- i thought it was just a coincidence.

Hi, I've only just joined the site so I cant post a new thread, but I've got a different problem with my DVD drive. It doesnt recognise any disks that I put in, it looks as if it's loading and makes the right noise, but then it opens and tells me to insert a disk. I've checked for software updates and ive reinstalled it but that didnt work and im out of ideas. It would be great if you could help. Dan
