no, both the fan & heatsink stayed together when my brother cleaned it. :D

I removed both the computer, the heatsinkand then reconnected them. Yes, all the fan's on the system are functioning fine.

About three years old & it was cleaned out about three days ago. This was the cause of the computer freezing & rebooting itself (after the cleaning of the inside was done).

The computer freezes after being on for about 25 minutes. It also occasionally freezes & then reboots itself. I have tried changing the power management options, disabling screensavers & checking event log for error that occures when computer feezes, but I can't pin-point error. I have tried with a clean copy of windows xp & then loading each program on the hard drives seperately, but computer still freezes or re-boots itself. All help with this issue wouuld greatly be appreciated. Dutchman
