Every time i try to install a program, for instance nvidia's graphic drivers,on my desktop, I always get a corrupt installation on the installation. I tried redownloading the application and installing it countless times but to no avail. But, when I download it from the same site with my laptop and transfer it using a thumbdrive, I can install it perfectly. The only difference between the desktop's installation file and the laptop's installation file is that my desktop's installation file, when i double-clicked it, is that the UAC will prompt that the installation file shows an "unspecified publisher" while my laptop's installation file displays "Nvidia Corporation".
I also tried to reinstall my OS, which is Vista Home Premium, but the problem still exists. How can I remove this problem? I hate having to transfer files between my laptop and my desktop frequently. Also, is this a hard disk problem?
