the game

I'm currently replacing my hard drive and am having trouble getting windows installed , I have booted Windows7 dvd created 40gb partition and hit install after 2 mins I'm getting error 0*80070017 , I've tried a different hdd with no joy got no clue what's going on pc specs are - AMD X4 Quad Core Processor running at 3.60GHz, 4gb ram 500gb internal hdd

I know i did see that but there are no nvidia drivers for it :@ » Compaq Presario F504EA Notebook PC is also a differant laptop not sure if the drivers are the same....also there are not drivers for windows 7 i have the RC version of it but as i say dont think drivers will work will they? i am gettin really annoyed with this laptop now....took me 5 mins to open i.e browser lol thanks more help wanted any ideas please reply

Hi all & thanks in advance for all the help.... I have recently got a compaq presario F500 with a broken lcd....replaced that and had my self a new lappy... anyways, I started the thing up and its as slow as hell its running on vista premium, 1GB of Ram & AMD 64 Athelon processer ......I have done the usual spyware malware & virus scans had a few bits of junk in there got rid of that its still really slow also if it helps task manager is showing like 10 processes and running 65!!....Defraged the hard drive which there is plenty of space on it ...What am askin is 2 things is possible... (1) Are there any XP drivers for this i checked their website and none for xp can anyone help as i hate vista.. (2) is there anything i can do to speed this up in the mean time its so slow Thanks all in advance i have used this site previously and meny others and always had resolves from here everytime!!!1

Fixing this dell optiplex for a friend installed win xp on it as old one had errors......Do not have the installation disk for the onboard drivers....I have No sound on it & cannot get the drivers from the web site to install have asked dell for help but they cannot help as the pc was 2nd hand and i dont know the old owners name.....so any way when installin the onboard sound drivers from the dell site i got the error cannot intall kernell.ext(x10000) can anyone please help me im so so stuck on this one feel free to add me to msn to dicuss it on (Instant messenger address removed for security reasons) thanks guys i know someone will help me

i have recently added a slave drive to my pc i have installed the drive then im trying to format the drive using the xp diskmanagement when i right click the drive and press format i get this messge ' The opeation did not complete because the partiton or volume isnt enabled. to enalble the partiton or volume please restart the computer' i have done this and its still not letting me format the drive can someone please please help me it would me much appriciated thanks :)
