l don't know a lot about computers but l am sure window vista is the os on my pc. when l turn it on there is a welcome tap that comes up every time and it tells me that window vista home premium is the OS. lt has been working fine since l got it less than 3yrs ago. lt came with a free three mth protection from norton. And it has gadgets on the right side of the screen when l turn it on. You are right. l probably have two problems. So how can l fix the two problem starting with the easiest one first.?

Hi guys the title of my post sums up the problem my laptop is facing. l cannot use my cd/dvd drive anymore. l have an acer asipre 5610z with windows vista home premium. For some reason, it's not downloading updates. there are so many failed updates and it keep telling me updates are available but when l try to run it, it takes for ever and it's set to update automatically but it keeps failing to update. Now the hl-dt-st dvdram gsa-t20n ata device is in the device manager with an error code 39. l tried to follow the instructions in device manager to find solutions but it doesn't work. :confused: l will really appreciate any help from you guys.
