  3. Did that and it set me with a 169.XXX.X.XXX address and Limited or no connectivity. My signal strength is excellent though.
  4. I got my laptop back, the disk drive is fixed and working now, it wasn't connected =/ I reinstalled the BT Home Hub CD that came with the package then I had a look at the IP address of the wireless connection and saw it was something like 164.xxx.xx.x so I manually configured the IP address and set it too something like 192.xxx.xxx.xxx similar to the IP address of the connection used to connect with the Ethernet cable. It doesn't give me Limited or no connectivity any more, in fact it doesn't mention anything not working but I still can't view any web pages using the wireless
  5. It doesn't mention anything about a CD/DVD drive until I get down to the Boot Sequence part. It's being taken back in tomorrow so hopefully they will sort that out then finally, we can see about the wireless connection. Thanks for all your help so far, I would be totally stumped without it.
  6. Here you go. http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x83/Darklight66/DeviceManager-Diskdrivers.png
  7. It doesn't show anything in My Computer about a disc when I put one in the drive and I posted a screenshot of My Devices a few posts up. Problem is, there is no CD\DVD drives on there.
  8. Ok, I downloaded the chipset, installed and restarted. Put the CD in that came with the BT Home Hub and still nothing. Tried it with a different CD and still nothing :( Edit: When I put a CD in the CD Drive it makes the usual whirling sound of loading a CD up but thats it. I don't know if that means anything.
  9. Oh thanks :) Possible dumb question, which do I download? Or doesn't it matter?
  10. If it were a PC then I would open it up but yea, laptops are totally different and I don't have a clue about them. I'm not sure exactly what they did, I'll have to ask my old man as he's the one who dropped it off and picked it up. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 6000. I'll have a dig around for bits that came with the laptop.
  11. I think they did open it up so it could be that they forgot to reconnect the CD Drive -_- In which case I guess I'll take it back to them. The problem which caused it to go for service was that windows wouldn't let me log in. If I tried to log in normally then it would come up with an error and not load any further than the background. If I tried logging on in Safe Mode then it wouldn't let me log in at all, it would just boot me back the the select user screen. The guy said that Windows had messed up and he had to reinstall it.
  12. All thats under Disk Drives is TOSHIBA MK4026GAX. There's the shot of Disk Management. http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x83/Darklight66/DiskManagement.png
  13. I don't see it =/ http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x83/Darklight66/DeviceManager.png
  14. I just inserted a game and nothing happened :(
  15. Ok, new problem in addition to the current connectivity issue. When I insert the CD I got with the hub into my laptop, nothing happens. Like there is no CD Drive
