hi i uninstalled the DVD drive restarted my computer and it still wound not read a dice it wont read copy's or bought discs. there are no yellow or red marks against it in device manager! Is It Faulty? Do i have to take it back to the shop? Vix

ok so the drive will not read anything no Cd's no dvd's no cdroms or dvdroms nothing! it used to auto run disc's and it dosn't do that all it say when you click on the drive is"insert a disc" please insert a dice into e drive and then it ejects the disc! i have been to device manager and the dvd drive is fine it say it's running properly and it not yellow! i have tryed to restore my sytem but the restore points don't fix it! Hi i have ACER aspire 5920g Laptop with Window vista home basic. About 2-3 weeks ago my DVD drive stopped reading disc's ( drive is: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20N ATA) i don't know how to fix it can anyone out there please help me! Vix
