  1. Hey thanks a lot, it is HP Pavillion dv9000, the one with 17inch wide screen :) No it becomes hot only when cpu usage is constantly high, however i will take the laptop into service this week probably to change the fan and have them check it just in case :)
  2. Hi, hmm not sure if it is relevant but i have hp pavillion laptop... This problem occurred before i turned off indexing... indexing was using my hardware too much so i turned it off in order to decrease my hdd and cpu usage... after i turned it off the computer was working faster with less usage of cpu and hdd when idle and i also turned it off because i usually know what programs i access and don't really search trough my computer very often =\ So far i think it has to do with some kind of bug of vista or something =\ but can't really pin point the cause...
  3. Well this is the problem, i have turned off indexing, however when my computer first starts up then explorer uses 50% of the processor, i run a dual core so if it was a single core i think that it would go up to 100%... anyways this only happens on startup and my laptop gets very hot... however when it starts up i kill the process and then i run explorer again and then everything is normal... i wonder why is this happening.. any previous experiences? Note: I have turned off indexing... Thanks
