apparently this media player only supports fats 32 which i agree is a pain :).:) i read the manual and it clearly states fats 32 only.

re hard drive What i have is a 250gig multimedia player. which is a powered external harddrive enclosure that will via a av cable connect to a tv. so you are able to view your pictures and video and mp3 .:)

re hard drive hi there im not trying to wire a hard drive to a tv. i am connecting amultimedia player which has the 250 gig harddrive via av cable .and the only time it is conected to laptop is to transfer files.thanks ann:)

Right here goes :) i bought a multimedia player with a 250 gig hard drive this is what i am having issues with i am able to put pics on and view on tv i am able to put approx 100 albums mp3 and view on tv if i go over the 100 albums the multimedia player will not intialize on to tv hope this is a bit clearer ann

wolfeymole just seen the bit you were asking about sorry did not notice it before when tootech asked me about what tv i had i was saying i thought that when the hard drive was connected the the tv the tv became a monitor just to view pics etc i did not mean to confuse issues sorry :o

re hard drive im sorry wolfeymole if iam confusing people i was not intending to i bought a multimedia player with a 250gig hard drive which was formatted to fats 32 i went on to put my photos on and about 100 albums of mp3 i then connected to the tv via a av cable and the music and the pictures came up when i put the remainder of mp3 albums on the hard drive conected it to the tv via av cable all i got on the screen was initializing and that is what my problem is .sorry for the complex way i put it my last write up was to tootech as he wanted to know make of my tv and what files i had been using. thanks ann:o

re hard drive Hi tootech i have tried pics alone no prob and pics and music no prob as long as the music is not more than 8gig the music files i am using are mp3 and the pics jpeg when i first bought this hard drive i was under the impression that when i used the av leads to connect to the tv from hard drive the tv was just a monitor however the make of my tv is samsung lcd series 6 the one with the rose black surround .:) thanks ann

I leave well alone until there is a issue and then try to sort it :D

:eek:I use norton as it is the one i was advised to get although i have no problems it does slow my system down and it is always hard to know with freebies if you are going to end with unwanted virus etc.

surge protector always use one belkin for tvs and pc :)

Since vista shutdown as laptop can be iratic starting up again if left to long.
