  1. Sony Vaio laptop, Windows XP, Spyware Doctor About a month ago my laptop was infected with the koobface virus. After much discussion back & forth w/tech support @ pctools the virus was removed from my computer. Since it was removed, upon booting I receive Error loading dll32 The specified module could not be found. When trying to access Internet Explorer I receive a message that the webpage cannot be displayed. (I am currently using my desktop). In my tray it shows that my wireless connection is excellent. PC Tools asked me to create and send to them my log file, which I did. This is what I received from them: Your log file has been escalated to our Malware Research Center for in-depth analysis. Please make sure you stay up to date with the latest Smart Updates. If any threats or new variants are found in your log file, they will be resolved via Smart Update. To check for the latest Update, please click on the 'Smart Update' button at the top right hand corner. If you require further assistance on this specific request, please reply to this email. So I responded to the email and placed a phone call. I asked if the only way to fix the problem was to update Spyware Doctor. I was told that was correct. I asked how can I stay up to date since I am unable to access the internet. The Tech Support Representatives response was that since I can't update they can't help me and I cannot fix the problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I have already spent hours between last night and today researching this problem. I have tried the clean-up suggested in other posts and nothing has worked so far. Thanks in advance! H. =)
