  3. Hi Danzil It only does it on the camera, i have tried a different camera and all is fine. I even sent it back to Acer under warranty and they found no faults. I think it may be an Acer/ Nikon or Picture Project software conflict because i have 2 and they both do it All drivers are upto date Les
  4. Hello I have a nikon camera that is connected to the front usb ports on an Acer power F6 pc, all is fine until you remove the camera and the pc freezes and has to be powered down. I have tried the following safely remove hardware sent pc back to acer nothing wrong bios flashed boot order changed by Acer checked voltage draw on usb device via device manager Any ideas?

  7. Hi Hope some one can help with this little gem. I have an E machine with a ps2 keyboard that uses hotkeys. Whilst in excel i caught the keyboard but not sure where. Now when i type each character appears twice. Eg Hello would be HHeelloo if you back space than they both disappear! The same thing happens in Word to.   9. Hello Peter FAT 16 was a file system used by Microsoft on OS up until windows me,after that they used FAT32. Some older pc,s have 2 serial ports although these days most modern pc utilise usb. You can buy a usb to seria port splitter (RS232). Win XP vista do not use msdos as such although they give an interface that looks like it. Probably best way forward is to find an old laptop/ pc on win98 and hopefully with 2 serial ports Regards Les

  14. if there are no other physical settings to change or any jumpers to set then i would query whether the drive is faulty then.
  15. The bios would normally check for a secondary slave drive make sure your drive settings are correct in the bios, also does the dvd drive light come on power up?
