  1. Thanks are in order. The scan took longer than i expected it to, so i can't finish the whole process tonight. However everything the scan found upon finishing has been removed. If i encounter any problems tomorow with the rest of it i will be sure to post on here because i haven't found any other site nearly as useful as this one. So thank you all. And the memory stick idea did work. :)
  2. another wall. I need to be logged on to an administrator account to install the mbam-setup and when i log onto my account (the administrator) the privacy center stops me from doing anything. so i dont see how i can get to install the mbam-setup.
  3. Privacy center has seemed to take the oppurtunity to install itself onto my PC. I've done some research and found that it is some sort of virus/spyware thing and it poses as a virus scanner. Now everytime i log into my Windows account (a full access user) this privacy center starts running, and so i control alt delete, and then end the program because if i leave it running it hits and error saying there is not enough mrmory and i can't do anything but hit the power button after that. And when i log my brother's (limited) windows account, i cant delete the PC folder, the uninstall in that folder is very good at making you think it has been uninstaled, but if you go back and check again, it is still there. I'm worries about what it could be doing to my PC theres currently no anti virus software on it. I was in the process of uninstalling AVG and about to install McAfee. Any help would be most appreciated, as this is getting very tiresome.
