turn dhcp off on the second router. Assign a different ip range so it does not clash with first router and assign the second router a static address outside of both ranges . Connect the 2 routers together with crossover network cable if neither has an uplink port as part of the lan if one of the routers does have an uplink then use a patch(straight) network cable and ensure one end is plugged into uplink and the other into lan :)
I run a cable modem plugged into a 4 port cable router plugged into a 4 port wireless router and use the wireless router as an access point
Sky will give you access to the modem router if you hassle them. Turn wireless off on this router and leave the rest set as default then follow instructions I gave for second router and it should work
Might be worth updating chipset drivers as Jelly says though
MSI Global – Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Mainboard, Graphics and more this is a auto search might be worth running. There is not many drivers for this board on the manual search
Jelly it finds the OS just does not boot as the OP has been offered safe mode and start windows normally means it does post
@ The op so the restart switch does not work? how about holding the off switch for 5-10 seconds? this should shut the system down.
What was the system doing when it first froze? might be worth running memtest there is now a sticky there about how to do this in the article section
This is not an upgrade . The older p4 will possibly be a D model . Your new dual core cpu although clocked lower is a better cpu imo. If you want to upgrade your cpu then buy a E7400 or better still a Q6 series.
Edit the E8 series cpus use and FSB of 1333 this board can only take upto 1066 cpus so I put the E7400 as this is 1066
Yes but it connects to scart which also carries audio so you use what you linked to earlier either use the standard audio output or the headphones(not advised) this way you will get audio and video to the same AV channel where as if you use DSUB and have the TV on PC channel there will be no audio
This machine is AGP 2/4 speed there is no way on the face of the earth you are going to get audio through it.
The only GFX cards that carry Audio natively are the newer ATI pci e graphics cards.
The TV WILL need PC Audio input to have audio and VGA together through the TV
My Sony Bravia has VGA input but no PC audio in. It also does not have RCA input either so you can not assign audio for use when the screen is on that input. To use audio going into a scart you needs to connect the pc to the TV via svideo or composite.
