  1. Thank you guys for all help will look at costing and trickyness of the BIOS replacement. Can't thank you all enough and will stick around for more interesting tips.

  6. Hello to everyone and a big thank you for everyone trying to help with my problem.

  8. no never updated since i got it which was like only 6 months ago Yep did that - same stuff comes up. Before the update - Win XP was running of my SATA drive - I have no IDE drive installed - and it worked fine - when it runs now the boot up it picks up the SATA drive but then says the same message.
  9. Nope nuffin - when it 1st boots it gives me the options but the it is superseeded by Detecting IDE Drives ... CMOS checksum error - DEfaults loaded If your Operation system has install on SATA HDD already. Please check SATA access mode and Hard Disk Boot Priority!! <F1>: to continue, <DEL>: BIOS Setup It basically saying yeah u go ahead and change boot priority but it won't let me in it ...... ggggrrrrrrrr
  10. K will try that - I changed the battery no avail - took the battery out put the jumper on - no avail i will try your suggestion here goes thank you

  13. Yes there a choice at the start but when it run through its detecting it then removes the choices of recovery - entering BIOS - Boot Selection ect and just leaves me with F1 or DEL for BIOS press either one nuffin happens NOPE nuffin happens my friend

  15. No mine has nothing on it at all - just 2 pins - u have to add the jumper the CMOS CLR - and the turn on pc - for a minute but it think it just loads the CMOS defaults - but it does not seem to alter the BIOS version. Boo Hoo
