Hi, I have 2 problems; Word 2010, and Windows Media Player Would do anything for some help. Perhaps easiest to share my screen/control? I stupidly installed Office Mondo before realising it was not designed to be uninstalled properly. Have tried loads of forums' advice, using officer cleanup utilities, etc. I can't install Office 2010 full legit version on here now cause it sees the 'ghost' of Mondo still! WMP12 annoyed me but I regret trying to roll back to 11. It didn't work for me as it did for others.. I think it's possibly more complicated for me, being on 64-bit Win7? Any help would be so amazing. Win7 64-bit, i7

Desperately trying to access NVRAID stripe

Solved! Just had to reinstall the nForce MediaShield drivers AFTER enabling nvraid in bios. -
Hello, Any help with this would be absolutely brilliant ASUS A8N-SLI (amd 16) System SATA hdd Extra SATA hdd Maxtor SATA hdd 2nd Maxtor SATA hdd I had the 2 Maxtor (DiamondMax10) drives setup as RAID0 (with i think the previous version of MediaShield) for my Video editing. It totals 500GB, and has a lot of precious data. I now cannot access it in My Computer. All I get is: -System drive -Extra drive (which is pretending to be 750GB when it is actually 250 like the Maxtors, as if the 3 of them have merged.) MY THOUGHTS SO FAR -Could I have assigned the wrong drives to the RAID in the BIOS/NVRAID config (F10 at boot)... I have triple checked.. they are on the 3rd and 4th SATA. -Could be the RAID was setup with the old (drivers?) and isn't compatible with these new ones? RELEVANT HISTORY I've had some PC problems recently on XP; Graphic faults riddled Windows as well as the BIOS and after replacing the 6800GT with a 8500GT and updating various drivers (possibly including an incorrect one!) the RAID0 split into 2 drives in My Computer and eventually PC wouldn't even load, even in safe. God knows what happened. Reinstalled Windows, and everything but RAID0 is happy again. Thank you!! Edited under Rule 11

Jellybean No luck with battery. The furthest it gets is giving a black screen when the Welcome window should be up. My G15 keyboard LCD gives me realtime info about RAM/CPU, time and date etc which must mean it's loaded the Logitech monitor kernel? It must be so close to loading Windows fully... (In case it's useful- RAM apparently is at about 20% which is about what it normally is once it's fully booted and loaded all startup items..)

Yes I'm afraid, I was apologising for having already posted it in a seperate thread, before Wolfeymole advised to write it here.. I've tried my USB keyboard in the PS2 using an adapter, is that ok or do you want me to try an actual PS2 one? The mouse was still in USB... Loaded BIOS defaults Currently I cannot get past the (i think) LAST bios stage, which warns me of the unrecognised fan "Your computer CHIP fan Fail or speed too low" but I've always had this error and have surpressed it in the BIOS as it's simply a replacement fan that is not recognised but more than adequate. Screen reads Phoenix - Awarn BIOS v6.00PG copyright etc asus a8n0sli acpi bios rev 1010 blah blah primary ide/sata/etc (all seem present and correct) Thanks x

Ah sorry- I've been having a nightmare with my self-built PC (Which has been reliable the last 4 years) Basically I can't boot my PC fully into Windows (XP)... First, I got graphic faults (including in the BIOS) and then lost my second monitor. I tried a few things, including installing new drivers for chipset and graphics, asked around on some forums and people believed it was a dying graphics card. By this point I was just getting a black screen and not really loading Windows peroperly, though safe mode worked. I replaced the 6800GT with my friend's 8500GT and it solved the computer worked for a while, though my other problem- the nVidia RAID0 is still split into to unaccessible drives. Now, the computer will literally not boot. Even in safe mode. It will start to load Windows but go black just before the Welcome screen. In safe mode, I get the Logon screen but keyboard/mouse are unresponsive. LATEST: PC will not get past intial BIOS stage. I get 5(?) beeps and a warning my chipset fan speed is too low (but I'm 99% sure this is because I replaced the rubbish original fan with a huge overkill incompatible one) F1 to continue now doesn't get my past this... Thanks : )

Hello, Thanks for looking- I have a ASUS A8N-SLI mobo with 2x 250GB Maxtor DiamondMax10 SATA drives in RAID0 They have been happy until recently when I had a problem with my 6800GT (which is now replaced with a 8500GT) My RAID0 doesn't appear in My Computer or even Disk Management It has lots of my Video Production work on it, so I'm desperate to get it back! I'm not sure what software/utilities I should have on the PC and suspect that's the issue, as I think I've enabled/configured RAID in the BIOS correctly. I wasn't sure what version of nForce drivers/nVidia utilities to install, and think some of them may be wrong? I was getting an error upon boot: "nvidia raid service english has encountered a problem" so removed nvidia RAID from startup.. I also have other nVidia software including 'PhysX' which doesn't launch anymore: 'NvCplUI.exe - Application Error' memory could not be read... Any help would be amazing. Ask what you need to know Lukey

Hello, thanks for helping- XP Home won't load. Turning the PC on, I immediately see graphic faults all over the BIOS (a mess of pixels, the text barely legible) this continues as Windows tries to load... After 16 passes of the loading progress bar, my left monitor turns into a messy vomit of pixels, the right hand screen loses signal. Then the left screen loses signal. PC does not respond to anything apart from ejecting CD tray. (In case it's useful- I have a Logitech G15 keyboard with a LCD which gets so far as loading the Logitech logo, and the laser mouse is powered. Caps lock won't toggle.) Any help would be amazing. I've just tried updating graphics drivers in safe mode, no use. Anything you need to know, ask away. Thanks, Luke
