If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section. However the website can be access via blackberry so its not that the website is down. :S when following the help advise ruled out other issues as The website can be pinged with mdu at 1472 anything higher and all packets are lost but not browsed, this seemed to point to the mdu.......... now stuck on what to put in the brackets (local area connection) in order to get the mdu changed. (hope this makes sense to some one as i'm way out of my depth)
  3. HI - hope some kind soul will be able to point this out to me, trying to get over an issue that seems to be caused by a too high a mtu setting (some webpages used to be able to access and can be pinged with a lower mtu but not browsed) on on using a guide to lower mtu its asking for local area connection name - now where would i find this? ipconfig all give me the Windows IP Configuration and wireless LAN adapter Wireless Network Connection: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter using this guide(PChucks Network: Setting The MTU In Windows Vista) to do it To see what interfaces you have on your computer, type netsh interface ipv4 show subinterfaces To change the MTU, type netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Local Area Connection" mtu=nnnn store=persistent where Local Area Connection is the name of the network connection on your computer, from the list obtained above. nnnn is the desired value for MTU.
