Hello!I have been trying to get an old computer up and running again and have found a dilemma.I want to install Windows 7 on to it, as I think it would run the best, and still have a good amount of compatibility. Whenever, I try to install this Windows Update KB4534310 or KB4539601 on "Windows 7 Home Basic SP1" (Old Lenovo G580), no matter times I try to install this update keeps on failing. It gets installed at first, it restarts and shows "configuring updates". Hello, I am experiencing a issue with my PC that seems to be related to a Trojan infection. My antivirus software has been consistently targeting two specific programs: "cmd.exe". I have tried using Malwarebytes to scan and remove any suspicious folders bot using malwarebytes and manually but nothing is working. I recently downloaded Farbar Recovery Scan tool and scanned my system. Addition.txt and Frst.txt logs are uploaded to one drive and link is dropped here. Why would spoolsv.exe legitimately spawn another spollsv.exe. I am a cyber security analyst and we have an alert that triggers often for this situation. Will this happen in an enterprise network where print servers are being used. The first spawn being action by the user and the second by the print server. I have also noticed netconn out to the print servers during this activity. 1 rpc call and then another to a random HEP. My guess is the first netconn is calling out to the print server to establish connection and the second to send the print job. Continue reading...
