No sorry, that's not happening, I still get the install box asking for the CD - I've found the download but it's an application, so it won't let me point the update at it.....

I did this, and then got the screen prompts on reboot to install the thing, and i've no idea where it downloaded to.......-

Hi, no sorry they don't work - I can't find the file that the 1st link suggests, and don't have the CD-ROM it refers to either. On the 2nd one, nothing happens when the DOWNLOAD now button is pressed................ I don't know how to do a system restore, and there is no option to roll back the driver either (although I could be doing this completely wrong................) I went to the 'about windows' on the task bar and it definately said Windows XP Pro v 5.1

It's on Windows XP Professional v 5.1

Hi, I've lost all the sound on my pc, and my device manager has a yellow exclamation mark next to the multimedia audio controller. When I try to update it, i just get a pop up asking me to run the cd or select a location for the driver. I have no idea what to do - the sound was fine the last time i used my pc! Please help!
